Kangaroo was overcooked /I had to ask for a rare steak as the waitress couldn’t be bothered. We trying to order wine by the bottle and the waitress kept trying to force the happy hour house wine by the glass-until I asked if we could get the bottle. When paying the bill they automatically assumed there was a tip and reflected on the bill. $180 bill to $198 with a $18 tip which I refused. Price vs Service vs meal - wasn’t worth $180. We had dinner the night before at Nicks spent $376 and all was perfectly matched.
We even added a $24 tip and rounded our bill to $400.
Some food for thought. It’s not the team that’s at fault - but the management that hasn’t spent time training the team to upsell and educating the team on the menu. No recommendations when we asked - the common answer was “I don’t know or I’m not sure”
I don’t mind paying premium if the service and food matched.

I love having dinner at Meat District Co, not only for the beautiful harbour views at night but also for the chance to try unique Australian meats like crocodile and kangaroo. The Australian Crocodile Burger was delicious, and the 240g Kangaroo was tender and full of flavour. I also highly recommend the 250g Medallion with creamy mushroom sauce cooked medium rare – it was juicy and perfectly cooked. The Pan Seared Barramundi paired with truffle mash potato was excellent too. Great food, stunning views, and a wonderful dining experience overall!

Located at Shop R3, Lime Street, Barangaroo, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 (facing the water on the King Street Wharf) We came for lunch before going to the Artisan Markets and our food was absolutely delicious. I had the Medallion Steak 🥩 and it was cooked exactly as I requested and the creamy garlic sauce was amazing. My friends had the Big Breakfast and they liked their meals also. The view over the water is fantastic, especially on a clear day. There’s seating outside and upstairs. The toilet 🚻 facilities are upstairs. The staff were very professional, greeting us warmly and available to help in any way. Answered all questions in a friendly manner. I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Thumbs up! 👍👍

Australia travel pick for meat lovers!

When I first moved to Australia for uni, a friend took me to this very Aussie restaurant. This time, I brought visiting friends here to try some local specialties. The ocean view is beautiful, and the service is super warm too.

The dry-aged steak had such a rich beefy flavour. I’d recommend ordering it medium rare — cooked just right, still really juicy inside, with a nice seared crust on the outside.

We only ordered the crocodile burger out of curiosity at first, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. The meat had a light, subtle flavour that wasn’t too strong, and with the bun, every bite was really satisfying.

The beef ribs are also a very Aussie-style dish. They were caramelised on the outside, tender inside, and coated in BBQ sauce — savoury and delicious.

The roasted bone marrow was rich and full of flavour. Spread on bread, it was so tasty, and pairing it with the salad made it feel a bit lighter and fresher.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and location were beautiful.
I forgot to request a window seat and didn’t arrange the cake in advance, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They kindly gave us a window seat and didn’t charge us for bringing our own cake.
Our waiter, Saugat, was especially attentive and friendly—he took great care of us throughout the evening. At the end, they even surprised us with a complimentary drink, which was a lovely touch.
Highly recommend this place for friends or special occasions. We will definitely be back again! 😊

This steakhouse offers a solid experience in a great location. Situated on the waterfront at Barangaroo, the restaurant provides beautiful views. We were seated at a table overlooking the water, which made for a nice setting. I had the 250g sirloin steak, which was delicious, and it was perfectly complemented by the creamy garlic sauce and a fresh salad. The side dishes - the truffle chips and onion rings - were very nice too. The overall ambiance was pleasant and inviting.
